Ahmedabad, March 06, 2025 – Rahul Gandhi, Congress MP and Leader of Opposition, will begin a two-day Gujarat tour tomorrow, landing at Ahmedabad Airport at 9:30 AM. The visit aims to strengthen the party’s position ahead of the state assembly elections.
Boosting Party Structure
Gandhi will meet booth-level workers, taluka functionaries, and state leaders, including Gujarat Congress president Shaktisinh Gohil, to roll out a new organizational model. The tour also prepares the ground for the AICC session on April 8-9 in Ahmedabad.
Gujarat in Political Focus
With Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Surat and Navsari on the same day, Gandhi’s visit highlights a brewing Congress-BJP rivalry. He plans to address local issues like unemployment and agrarian distress to challenge the BJP’s dominance.
Eyeing Electoral Revival
This strategic visit is a bid to revive Congress’s fortunes in Gujarat, a BJP stronghold since 1995. Gandhi’s focus on grassroots engagement aims to reconnect with voters and set the stage for a competitive election battle.
